Khaled Mehdi

Khaled Mehdi is a Legal Director based in Abu Dhabi with over 17 years of experience advising on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and cross-border transactional matters across the UAE, Lebanon, and other international jurisdictions. He advises corporations, financial institutions, and private clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and restructuring, joint ventures, equity investments, transactional lending, and a broad range of commercial contracts.

Khaled has substantial experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documentation, including share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, franchise arrangements, licensing agreements, finance documents, and other strategic commercial contracts. He also advises clients on corporate governance, regulatory licensing, and compliance matters under UAE law, including within mainland UAE, DIFC, and ADGM frameworks.

Prior to joining M&CO Legal, Khaled was a Senior Associate at a leading law firms in UAE and Lebanon, where he headed the corporate department and advised on high-value transactions involving private placements, debt restructuring, corporate governance, acquisitions, and financial instruments for major corporations and financial institutions. His combined UAE and Lebanese law experience enables him to provide commercially focused and context-sensitive advice on multi-jurisdictional matters.

Khaled is admitted as an Attorney-at-Law before the Beirut Bar Association, is registered as a Legal Consultant in the UAE, and is a Solicitor before the ADGM Courts. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French. His practice also extends to emerging legal issues in technology, digital finance, intellectual property, and AI-assisted legal analysis, complementing his core corporate and transactional work.
