Our Founding Partner, Dr. Mahmood Hussain, and Partner, Dr. Salman Al Tuweel, represented M&CO Legal at the Beirut Arbitration Days 2025, organized by the Lebanese & International Arbitration Center of the Beirut Bar Association (LIAC-BBA).
This prestigious event brought together leading arbitrators, counsel, and experts from across the globe, affirming Beirut’s growing status as a regional hub for international dispute resolution.
A key highlight of the conference was Dr. Mahmood Hussain’s participation as a speaker on Panel 5, titled:
“Mastering Cross-Examination and Advocacy in International Arbitration: Insights from Arbitrators, Experts, and Counsel.”
The panel, moderated by Dr. Jalal (Jil) El Ahdab, featured an esteemed lineup of experts, including Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sameh Amr, Antonia Birt, and Marwan Sakr. The session explored the evolving role of advocacy in international arbitration and examined strategic approaches to effective cross-examination across jurisdictions. From managing expert testimony to adapting advocacy styles, the discussion offered invaluable practical insights.
