M&CO Legal was honored to participate in the ICC UAE Policy Commissions in Action session, engaging in a forward-looking discussion on the evolving role of ICC UAE’s commissions in shaping policy, strengthening institutional dialogue, and supporting sustainable economic growth in the region.
Our Founding Partner, Dr. Mahmood Hussain, spoke on the panel alongside Dr. Ahmad Majid Lootah, Chair of the ICC UAE Commission on Banking and CEO & Managing Director of Al Hilal Capital Financial Services, and Nadia Abdul Aziz, Chair of the ICC UAE Commission on Customs & Trade Facilitation and President of the National Association of Freight and Logistics – NAFL. The discussion highlighted the critical importance of aligning banking, trade facilitation, and dispute resolution frameworks to foster a resilient and investor-friendly business environment.
In his capacity as Chair of the ICC UAE Commission on Arbitration & ADR, Dr. Hussain emphasized the continued development of arbitration practices in the UAE, the strengthening of enforcement mechanisms, and the need to enhance confidence in cross-border dispute resolution. The session reflected the UAE’s growing maturity as a hub for trade, investment, and legal innovation.
