Ayesha is Senior Legal Counsel in the Arbitration and DIFC Courts Department at M&CO Legal, UAE, bringing nearly eight years of legal experience across international dispute resolution and commercial advisory practice. She specialises in complex arbitration and litigation matters, with a strong focus on UAE court proceedings, cross-border commercial disputes, and institutional arbitration.
Her practice spans representation of clients in high-value contentious matters involving construction, real estate, hospitality, insurance, franchise and agency relationships, employment disputes, tenancy conflicts, and shareholder and corporate disputes. She is also experienced in advisory work relating to commercial structuring, digital platform policies, and transactional documentation.
Ayesha is a key member of the firm’s dispute resolution practice, advising and representing clients in international and domestic arbitration proceedings administered under leading institutional rules, including ICC, DIAC, and arbitrateAD, as well as serving as Tribunal Secretary in arbitrations conducted under these institutions together with ISTAC and IICRA.
Her contentious practice includes advocacy and procedural support in construction and infrastructure disputes, hospitality and commercial operations conflicts, insurance and agency matters, franchise and licensing disputes, employment litigation, and complex shareholder and joint venture disagreements. She is regularly involved in case strategy development, evidence management, and arbitration hearing preparation.
In addition to dispute resolution work, Ayesha provides comprehensive corporate and commercial legal support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements such as sale and purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, agency and distribution contracts, franchise and licensing arrangements, investment documentation, and lease agreements. She also advises on regulatory and operational documentation for digital platforms, including privacy policies, refund policies, return policies, and website terms and conditions.
Before joining M&CO Legal, Ayesha gained international legal exposure in Malaysia, working alongside established practitioners in research and advisory capacities, which strengthened her understanding of comparative legal systems and cross-border commercial practice.
She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2016 after completing the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at Cardiff University. She holds an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London (2024), along with postgraduate qualifications in International Arbitration and Oil & Gas Law, reflecting her interdisciplinary expertise.
